The-Laker-Issue-Spring-2024

Greetings, alumni! I hope you enjoyed reading the captivating stories featured in this edition of the Laker. It is heartwarming to acknowledge and share the achievements and endeavors of our fellow alumni. These stories demonstrate that FLCC has a lasting impact on the lives of students well beyond their time here. Please continue to visit us and share your news and success stories. They are a source of pride for us all. In the past few months, we’ve enjoyed welcoming alumni back to campus to rally behind students and graduates. We cheered on our volleyball and basketball teams, celebrated our first in-person FLCC Alumni and Foundation and Awards since 2019, and gathered at Muller Field Station’s Open House. The camaraderie has been truly uplifting. If you missed these festivities, explore upcoming events on page 9 to reconnect with the College community. On a personal note, I would like to address a matter close to my heart: our shared responsibility to preserve our natural resources. One way to start is by making more sustainable options, for example, receiving this magazine electronically. Update your email contact information at bit.ly/flccbluegreen to start receiving our magazine and alumni communications online. Lastly, I invite you to join me on May 2 for the College’s annual Laker Day of Giving. Your generosity can make an immediate impact. Whether you make a one-time donation to our student emergency funds or a recurring gift to one of our scholarships, you change lives! Thank you for your unwavering support of your fellow alumni and the FLCC community.
