annual report 2019–2020 CONNECT WITH OUR ALUMNI ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR Lisa Scott is celebrating her 15th year with FLCC, the last seven as alumni engagement coordinator. She celebrates alumni achievements and plans networking and reunion events. A favorite part of her job: supporting current students through fundraising for emergency funds, scholarships and academic programs. “I’m always discovering interesting and inspiring stories about our alumni,” she said. “There are over 28,000 graduates across the state, country and globe, so every day offers the possibility of learning something new.” Lisa grew up near Buffalo, attended SUNY Geneseo and is halfway through an online MBA program. She has also completed 11 FLCC courses, ranging from Business Law to Introduction to Sociology. “Last semester I took a workshop in fiction writing and loved discussing and writing short stories with my classmates — some of whom are now FLCC alumni,” she said. While still a devoted Bills fan, Lisa is proud to call the Finger Lakes home. You can find her exploring the area and adding to her collection of cookbooks, which have been put to good use during the pandemic. “One of the bright spots in my life during the last few months has been picking up my weekly CSA share from Fisher Hill Farm (owned and operated by Phillip ’00 and Sandi Munson) and trying new recipes.” Send your updates to Lisa at alumni@flcc.edu or call (585) 785-1454.
