the 70s David Pisarski ’75 (Conservation) recently retired after working 37 years for the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality. Over that time, he served as the chief of the Enforcement Division for 25 years, pursuing administrative, civil and criminal violations of hazardous waste, air and water quality statutes and laws. For 12 years, he supervised the state’s Nonpoint Source Water Quality Program, working mostly with parties in the agriculture, forestry and mining sectors to fund and oversee projects that would improve water quality across the state. Dave lives with his wife, Michelle, in Eagle, Idaho, and has four children and nine grandchildren. Elaine Liberio Canne ’77 (Studio Art) opened Liberio Art Studio, Gallery and Art Education Center in Palmyra, where she will be creating art, teaching classes and workshops, and showing and selling artwork. Jim Diermeier ’77 (Conservation), a horticulturist at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y., plans to retire this year after more than 40 years in horticulture. Eileen (Murray) Barnett ’78 (Nursing) retired in December 2018 after a 40-year career as a registered nurse. She worked at Highlands at Brighton and the final 11 years at Rochester General Hospital on the Pulmonary Progressive Care Unit. Nancy Whyte ’78 (Business Administration) was promoted to vice president of employee relations and development officer at Generations Bank in Seneca Falls. She joined the organization in 2008 as operations administrator. In her 13-year career, she has held a variety of positions in deposit operations, data support, support services, and training. In her new role, she will be responsible for developing and facilitating a training program for current and new employees. 28 | the LAKER Greetings, alumni!
